So you’re seeking clarity within your life? Yearning for it, trying to decipher and uncover exactly what it is you want? Perhaps what you’re purpose is, your passion? Or any other buzzword you can think of.

Time for the good and bad news. If you are craving clarity within your own life, I don’t think there’s anything you need to figure out, get or understand. I truly believe the clarity you are seeking already resides within you.

I get it, it probably does not feel like it at all. But let me dive into this with you.

Some of my clients work with me because they want to find clarity within their own life. But clarity is rarely the issue. It’s the name we give the issue, because it’s easier and safer to say, I need to find clarity, not ‘I have this really exciting scary idea of what I want to create in my life, but I’m worried what people will think, what will they say? Or will I truly be able to accomplish it?’

You know it just doesn’t quite roll of the tongue in the same way. So if you’re seeking clarity two things can be occurring.

  1. When you think you’re seeking clarity, but the truth is, it’s already lying within you. It’s simply buried over by doubt, confusion, fear & analysis paralysis.
  2. You find yourself on the cusp of a decision finding it almost impossible to make up your mind. These situations exist – and if you’re there right now I am truly feeling for you.

I’ve been there a number of times and it can feel awful, that ‘which way should I go?’ feeling. If you’re there right now, I offer you advice from Deepak Chopra which I love.

“If you obsess over whether you are making the right decision, you are basically assuming that the universe will reward you for one thing and punish you for another. The universe has no fixed agenda. Once you make any decision, it works around that decision. There is no right or wrong, only a series of possibilities that shift with each thought, feeling, and action that you experience.”

It helps remind you there is no right or wrong decision. You don’t get given good points or bad points for any of your decisions.

Now let’s dive into uncovering the clarity that already resides within you.

Stop looking outside of yourself and look within

This is the easiest thing to say and the most excruciating thing to enact within your life.

What you are seeking is not outside of yourself, it’s been inside of you all along. So stop distracting yourself, filing yourself up from external sources and look within.

This means getting quiet. Meditating, journalling, practicing the art of non-doing or being. And stop continuously googling articles, scrolling social media, reading self-help books or listening to gurus to help you and live your life. Once you get quiet, you’ll be amazed at the gems that already are within you.

Allow yourself permission to want what you want

That means declaring it. Giving yourself permission to want what you want. You may notice a voice that tells you ‘you can’t have that’, ‘you don’t deserve that’ or ‘it won’t work’.

That not fun part, is a necessary step of the process.

Those thoughts are the stories your fear and worry are telling you. Some of these may have valid points you need to look into, to help your course adjust, or for things to run smoother. And some are limiting beliefs. Keeping you small and need to be reprogrammed or simply laughed at. Looking at the thoughts on replay within your own mind is an integral part of the process, one I love working with my clients on.

** Also note, that voice is simply a voice. You don’t have to ‘get rid of these thoughts’ or have a perfect mindset before you start taking action. You are always a work in progress and you are allowed to continue moving like one.

Get Support

If you are serious, about uncovering that gold within you. Listening and honouring those little whispers from your soul about what’s next, it’s time to invest in yourself, your dream and get support.

This could be via professional design for a project, an accountability partner to help you move forward or working with a coach to help you tackle that pesky voice that’s keeping you stuck in doubt and overwhelm.

Reading articles like this are beneficial, but something magical happens when you invest in someone and yourself to help you bring your ideas into fruition.

So are you itching to find clarity within yourself, that you know is residing within you, or perhaps work on those limiting beliefs and fears that are keeping you stuck? If so why not book in for a complimentary 30 minute coaching session to help you find clarity, and see if I can support you.
